With the year coming to an end, I think back on what I value….
The list is long from family to friends to my faith to the lessons I’ve learned. And of course, I am extremely grateful for knowing what I enjoy doing for my work.
I receive private messages from time to time seeking my opinion. Sometimes, I get messages validating or supporting the good I am trying to share with the world around me. I woke up this morning with one particular message that came to mind I want to share with you.
I believe we all wish for happiness and good health for ourselves, our loved ones, and for the people of the entire world. I truly believe that if we all do our part in creating a civil society, our spirits and bodies would attain the health and happiness we desire. Creating this is not a big feat; small steps can transcend to miles. May these words in the following message inspire you all to greet with a smile everyone who crosses your path in the new year….
Aloha Astania….just wanted to share that I appreciate the value of your “Manners in Momentum” concept and practice. Every day when I walk my kids to school I say “Good Morning” with a smile to everyone I meet. Many times no one says much back even though I see them every day. I tell my kids to do the same even if no one responds because you might boost their positive energy. Today a man in his 50s, who was probably escorting his grandchild to school, looked at me and said “Good Morning!” to me so loudly, and clearly and I felt so uplifted by the good manners!!! WOW how Fun!! We need more of this. Certain older generations practice “higher standards” in public manners as I call them. We need to teach the present youth how pleasant good manners make day to day interactions. Thanks for all you do! I wish you had an “office” on Kauai!! Blessings to you your ohana! Aloha!
